About Me
I’m Leon Atweh, a high school student situated in New Mexico. I’m a (hopeful) writer primarily concerned with short stories and novellas. Though I’d like to have a career someday, everything on this website will be free without exception.
I’m interested, first and foremost, in projecting empathy and compassion onto history. In people so far removed from us in language and daily experience, I principally believe that we are capable of seeing each other. This can come from simply reading the accounts and records they leave behind, but for many—myself included—fiction can be effective when it comes to connecting us with the past, and this is the avenue I have chosen to pursue.
It is my aspiration to make these connections in what I write for you; everything takes place in New Mexico, during the territorial period from 1846 to 1912.
